Log in to BMWUSA

I just ordered my first BMW, A 335i Sportline MG, last Saturday. How long until I can log in to the Owners site to track my vehicle?
I tried to sign up and all I get is the error message:

We're sorry but the vehicle you are trying to register is not available at this time.

This will be a very long 10 weeks.

It's more about when you get an allocation. Make sure your sales guy actually gave you a production slot. Some times they take your order, but they don't actually order it till later. After that, it should show up on the site in a day or two. But that site is slow to update. About 1-2 days off.

We ordered a 335i on February 22 and received the production number that day. I have not been able to track it online at all. The 800 number says the car is waiting at port for a carrier at this time.

Good luck, I hope it works for you eventually.

I believe so. Give it a day or two. Also, find out which allocation week you got. Make sure they didn't screw you by giving you one months out. Right now it should be week 15 allocation/production. I wouldn't be surprised if they are all out of April allocations as BMW has had record sales this quarter. However, even if they are all out of allocations, you can push them to trade allocations with another dealer to squeeze you in.

Allocations go by week numbers.

Resurfacing this thread. I've got the same issue with the website. Doesn't look like there's a verdict on the lag time for first time registration. If anyone knows please chime in.

I'll report back when I can get through first time registration WITH my production number.

I have been trying to input my production number since I ordered mine approximately 3 weeks ago. No luck on-line or on phone. I had my CA check and we have a production week of week 27. I have seen on web that the system is not very responsive and your best chance of getting info is from the CA. The owners line when I put in the production numbers says you might not see anything until after it goes into production. Will keep trying.

My production number is week 27 as well. The phone number has my car listed as status 112 but as of now the site doesn't yet recognize the production number. Seems like BMW should button this up a bit if they're going to offer it at all. No or delayed information defeats the purpose entirely IMO.

My CA said to check when it gets closer to July 01 SOP for the 2013 models. The website and the phone line both say mine has a production number but a date hasn't been assigned.

Quick update: This morning I was able to register with the BMWUSA website using my production number. Today is 1 week after my order was placed and the phone confirmed status 112. Your results may vary.

I checked the phone status this morning thinking that the car hit a new milestone allowing for registration but the phone confirms it's still in status 112. Happy that I can see something in BMWUSA despite it being stale info...

I was finally able to add my car with the production number on the BMWUSA website as well. I've been trying for the past couple of weeks; not sure what changed, but glad to see that it's allowing the add now.

Just tried mine. It works now as well. Still no options show, but it's nice to see the correct model and a picture. (Although it's funny because it's not the M-Sport front bumper, they haven't loaded the image yet)
