Finally picked up my e92 after 7 weeks!!!

Just picked her up on Saturday ...she's all I expected and more

definitely very very fast, there's easily a 20mph difference in what you think you're driving at and the actual speed

Question, is there a way of having the side mirrors fold automatically when I turn off the car? I didn't see anything in the iDrive menu ...

Is that Jet Black or Black Sapphire? My guess is Black Sapphire.

1st mod for black cars (should be required) is to dump those corner reflectors. They look worst on black cars. The eye is just drawn to them immediately and wrecks the look of the car.

If you are interested in keeping it swirl-free, I suggest getting comfortable in the detailing forum and reading up on the stickies from Picus and DavidN.

Yeah, that's the biggest problem with BMWs, you don't feel like you're going nearly as fast as you really are. When I first got mine I was constantly hitting 80-90 mph on the on-ramps.

As for the mirrors. No, you can not have them automatically fold when the car's turned off. The best you can do (assuming you have the premium package) is press the round button next to the mirror selector on your door panel. That will fold your mirrors in for you. If you don't have the premium pack, well you're SOL.

yea I have premium package, that button's pretty cool, would've been nice to have it fold automatically everytime I park, oh well, not gonna complain

This might be Europe only, but if I hold my lock-button on the fob a few seconds, the mirrors fold in. Same if I hold the Comfort Access-ridges on the door handles a few seconds, they fold in.

I think that is a 2005 (or 2005, 2006?) only feature.
