Ordering her this week. I need to check for the last time

First of all I must say this: ''What a wonderful forum this is!'' Honestly I've been reading and reading this forum since 2 weeks, since the time I decided to buy a 335i coupe... And I learned a LOT. Helped me to decide for many things about the car. And finally this midweek I will order the car. What I need from you, the experienced guys, to take a look at my car's equipment list and tell me if I am missing something or do I need to remove any of them. Thanks from now for taking a look at it and sharing your thoughts with me.

335i coupe Black Sapphire M-Sport - Saddle (or Black, still couldnt decide bec of the trim color problem)

Standart Equipments:

* Remote Control Alarm
* Rear Blind - Electric
* Front Seat Heating
* Prof. Logic 7 Stereo
* Comfort Package

Executive Equipments:

* Sport Package (Pack. 3)
* M-Sport Package
* 225, 19'' Rims
* Sport Seats
* Aluminium trim (I wish I could have high gloss black with saddle)
* M Sport Suspension
* M Steering Wheel
* M Aerodynamic Package
* High Gloss shadowline
* Anthracite Headlining
* Comfort Package (Pack. 6)
* Auto-dim Interior Mirror
* Park Distance Control Front/Back
* Rain Sensor
* Dynamic Cruise Control
* Extended Interior Light Package
* Sliding Front Armrest
* Storage Compartment Pack
* Professional Navigation

Extra Equipments:

* Automatic Gearbox
* Active Steering (Still have doubts for this)
* Electric Glass Sunroof
* Bluetooth Telephone Preperation
* USB/Audio interface
* Multi Function M Steering Wheel
* Adaptive Headlights

Well I think this is all... It is more or less a fully loaded car. Only a few are missing like folding exterior mirrors or voice control. So I am looking forward to hear your opinions before making the final order tomorrow or tuesday.

You forgot the kitchen sink! You might as well get every option since you have gone this far. Not being critcal, just an observation. You have a lot of options on this car that I personnaly don't NEED, But I would make sure you have drivan a car with the active steering before you buy one.

This is why I opened this thread. Please tell me which ones you wouldn't need and I will think again about them. Such as I do on active steering...

Active Steering

Active steering is completely useless and detrimental to be honest. I would rather not have a 3 series if it was standard equipment. It's that bad IMO.

Good luck

I don't like active steering or dynamic cruise. Voice Control is great and Keyless Go is a must. I'm not sure I noticed that on your list. Maybe it's included in one of your packages. Go to zainostore.com and buy their starter kit for your car. It will make it shine like nothing else and Black Sapphire needs lots of attention.

I was concerned with the active steer before I got my car. It took me about a week to get used to it. I love it now. Active steer is pretty cool. just my $.02

Thanks for comments. It is not about AS only. Zimbim mentioned voice Control and Keyless Go. I will consider these too according to prices.

Active steering is awsome. You won't regret getting it. My M3 feels like driving a bus after drivng the 335 around for a week with active steering.

Had active steering on a 545i loaner IMHO. It is interesting to see some people actually like it.

USB/Audio interface and Navigation: Why not spend skip them and spend ~$500 on an Garmin or HK nav unit that does both tasks MUCH better? I've not used them yet but reviews are awesome - personally I am waiting until the Garmin range will play videos (useful for airline travel) before buying one.

19'' Rims: Be aware that hitting a potholes means a new rim and tire

Park Distance Control Front/Back: Loved mine and NA only has only rear sensors.

I liked active steering on my 325i.

I was actually hunting down a 335i with active steering, but when I tried it without it I don't think I really missed it much, in fact I don't think I really noticed much while enjoying the drive when I test drove them a couple times. It does, however, make it a bit easier to try to parallel park and manuever at low speeds. I also liked how I would barely have to tilt the wheel at high speeds going around bends on the freeway.

Yesssss!

I made the order today for a 2008 335i coupe M-Sport. It should be ready at the end of August. So a loooong waiting time is there for me. Will be hard but hopefully well worth it.

Ouch. Logic 7 = Not Expendable. Active Steering = Expendable

I didnt want to open a new thread for this but I need a picture of M-Sport 335i with saddle brown and high gloss black interior (piano black) to show to my dealer. He asked me a picture of it so he can push to BMW about it. Although I searched the forum I couldnt find one. I saw one with red interior. I am trying to get that interior but if that is not possible then it will be Saddle with Aluminium which is a standart of M-Sport pack. Anyone can post a picture of it?

Someone on this forum was talking about making Piano Trim once - I cannot imagine it begin that expensive to have done professionally either.
