Tested it out on my dad's Chrysler Mini-Van, no way was I gonna guinea pig it on my own car. It's mediocre at best, water spots still form on plastic/black trim and if you look at the paint at an angle. It works wonders on the windows but that's about it.

I had one and it did work, but it was a pain in the butt. It only takes couple of minutes to dry the car anyway. So, I threw mine in the trash....

I love mine. I've been using it for years now. I've used it in Richmond,Va and Woodstock,Ga and both have different hardness in water. I find it much easier to use than soap water in a bucket. I prefer to use the filtered water because it doesn't streak, leave spots or chamois lint on the paint. I've used it on a total of 4 different colored cars. Black, red, white and grey. None of them had any water spots at any angle. No water spots on plastics either.

If you have a good seal/wax on the car,
you can get a lot of the water off by gently flooding the panels. FWIW, here's what I do. Take the spray nozzle off & with a gentle flow... flood from the high point. Capillary action will drag a LOT of water off the panels. Then I use a small yard blower to get the water from the crevices, mirrors, wheels etc. ...takes a few seconds. Then, I use a waffle weave MF and blot (don't rub) the remaining water. If I really want to spiff her up I'll follow with some Z-6 Gloss Enhancer Spray.

Slightly off topic,,, but an alternate method FWIW
If you want something that doesn't streak & leave hard water spots;
Try ONR, I use it a LOT... With ONR you don't even have to rinse, just blot dry & done. It comes as a concentrate & can be mixed in different strengths for different purposes. If memory serves... TD8 uses it as well. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine

Reading the directions:
"Soak a microfiber towel in the solution and wash your vehicle with the wet towel." So, um, I have a question. Wouldn't you just be smearing around the dirt already on the car and thus scratching it? |

When this first came out a few years ago, it had mixed reviews. Some people loved it some hated it. Most of the peope that hated it were not using it properly. For example allowing too much time to pass before going over the car with the filtered water. It would save me a little bit of time prepping my car for car shows the next day.
