Ipod playlists and idrive integration
I noticed when playing with the Ipod factory integration kit last night that it only allows you to select from music playlists. I have tons of music videos in the video folder but I can only see music related files. How do I get that folder of mp4s to play in the car via the Idrive? I have an Ipod movie. Thanks!

dont' have my car yet but from what i've read you can't do video via iDrive. I've read of people installing after market video kits to be able to see DVDs etc...

I'm having done what your looking for next week. The way it was explained to me a Multimedia Manager from Alpine is used and it will allow you to use your ipod for it's music and for it's video. My plan is to just buy all my movies via Apple and be able to play them in my car. You can also do the DVD player and have all three of them working via the unit. And it works with your iDrive. Hope that helps.
Here is the Alpine link. http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=PXA-H701 For those in SoCal here is who i deal with: VisionZ Professional Mobile Video Installation John Martin 949.842.3570

Thanks I am installing tv and nav 2 go tomorrow...it was the basic factory interface that wouldnt allow me in idrive to go to the video folder of the ipod where I wanted to listen to the music videos...this may be an unrelated question but in itunes, how can i get my videos to appear in the music folders area or is this not possible with mp4s in mp3 designated folders?
