When you pull out the back of the glovebox, theres a little thing on the backside that lists exactly which fuse is for what. That should help you find the correct fuses.

IIRC it should say ashtray or outlet. I dont think it has symbols.

no... it IS symbols and they are confusing. I believe it is number 30. Check that one it should be the one for the power outlets.

On an unrelated note, I hate how the power outlets shut down once the ignition is turned off. Makes using my PDA/Sat difficult while parked with the engine off. Anyone worked around this issue yet?
A PS-And to the OP, it seems like a fuse will be a simple fix. |

Common issue with BMW's mostly when a phone charger or some other external plug is used in the cigarette lighter outlet... Its just the fuse. Buy a little box of spares for future reference... I cant count how many times I see this at work, and warranty doesnt pay anything for replacing a fuse...

Yep. What are you using the circuit for, and what size fuse are you putting in?

Try a higher amp fuse or a different power source.

if the power outlet is 15 amps, you should only replace it with same fuse. if it keeps blowing that means you're overloading your outlet..

Agree with nyc3r - the actual fuse is probably 3 times the rated current draw for the outlet. Determine why it is blowing before you increase.
