check the classifieds there was a chap that was trying to sell a set of seats and 'claimed' he put them in his own car and they magically had heating (personally I doubt it)

I looked in to it for an E90 but as it wasn't my car it was decided not to go ahead. You can do it as there is a retrofit kit thus it can be simply coded. I have the BMW EBA guide somewhere.
