Both xenon headlights out! Wtf?

Driving home from work last night and as soon as I get home my light beam looks kinda weird so I turned my switch off then turn it back on and nothing! Angel eyes come on but no headlights hi or low Checked fuses and don't seeee anything out of the ordinary. Any ideas? These are the sonic tuning replacement xenon bulbs.

************Update....I swapped back to my factory bulbs and they are working. Both xenon bulbs crapped out at the same time. Waiting on resolution from sonic tuning.*****************

One of two things: either your bulbs/ballast went out or you're low on blinker fluid.

This happened to both headlights at the same time! Crazy...i can't imagine that both ballast went at the same time. I swear the craziest shit happens to my car.

These things are like 8 months old though. And both at the same time? What are the odds of that?

Actually the odds are pretty good. I've had problems with some of the aftermarket bulbs in the past (halogens, not Xenons), but it doesn't surprise me that both went out at once - they may have been manufactured in the same batch and so forth.

Yeah, I love what sonic tuning offers to the community, but their Xenon bulbs seems to be the weak link in their product offering. Might I suggest sticking with OEM bulbs? They're expensive, but they won't blow your ballasts. And the cost of OEM bulbs<OEM ballasts. You can even get the OSRAM CBI's for a 5000K pure white color, and OSRAM/Sylvania/Phillips are all provide parts for BMW. So they're guaranteed not to cause problems.

your bulbs are probably dead, aftermarket bulbs = not so good, made in china crap, some will last a year or two, some maybe 6 mo
your ballast should still be good, it has short circuit protection even aftermarket ballast has it but saty away from aftermarket bulbs.

Just waiting for your bulbs and receipt to swap out for replacement.

All of our bulbs are backed up by one year warranty; the odds of both bulbs failing wow! never seen that before.

So you did a retrofit from halogen to Xenon?

Send me more info to info@sonictuning.com, we will take care of it for you!
