Just installed the BMW DP last night myself.
all I have to say is WOW Makes it feel like a completely different car.... fell back in love w/ the N55 |

yeah it is a 3.5" DP....
Took us a little over 2 hours from pulling the car in to washing my hands. Had to support the engine and lower the subframe to get to it... the clamp for the stock DP was re-used. the shape of the flange is the same size but wasnt seated correctly at first. I guess becuase of the different angle. It clamped up fine and connected to the stock exhaust just fine. obviously had to loosen the bolts from the PE forward to get clearance |

and the CAT was hot as shit, I drove it around the parking lot, 1 minute and burnt my hand

sounds MEAN.... As I just put it in last night, I was either WOT or nothing... so I cant give a fair estimate, but BEFORE I put it in, I avg'd 16.4 thru 1/2 tank. keep in mind I work 5 miles from home, and my avg speed was sub 20mph. |
