It's okay. BMW Welt isn't open yet anyway. Right now, the benefits are cost and the driving on the Autobahn experience. The delivery point is basically a Gov't car delivery shop.

Wait till next year when their new facility and museum is open, it'll be a sight to see.

You forgot about the factory tour and well, the rest of Europe.

But like the other poster said, there's always the next one!

If you are going to buy a BMW in germany, you can choose to pick your car up the new BMW Welt. This "extra" benefit is calculated with about 450,- €, which you have to pay additional to the stock price of your new car...
If you dont choose this option, you can pick up your car "regular" at the dealer.

How much $ do you have to pay, if you are choosing ED?!

There's a forum dedicated to this, check out the New Order/Delivery/ED forum here.

Jesus A. Christ....I can't believe BMW actually charges citizens of Germany EXTRA to pick up their car at where its going to amount to a 7% discount for the citizens of the U.S.

We complain about so much, but we really have it pretty good....

Chris, vielleicht glaubst Du es nicht, aber die Amis sparen etwa 10% wenn sie den Wagen in München abholen.

I'm thinking there are probably other German Government incentives they provide to their automakers to attract ED's. Imagine all the money we spent there on hotels, restaurants, tolls, and local economies. It's a win, win for their country.

Just like our Gov't takes care of US automakers, I'm sure they protect their own two. (Don't forget the 2 for one deal on Lufthansa, the German airline. Great airline by the way, one of my top 5)

We go there, buy their products, spend our cash, and leave the sales tax behind and come home with some great memories and a new car.

From what I could get out of the internet rough translators.

Chris, you wouldn't believe it but the Amis (Short for Americans I think) save 10% when they fetch their car in Munich.

Forgive me if I completely botched this.

As other's have said, don't make the same mistake on your next one.
