Did you let him pass in the beginning or you were flooring it as well?

Well I saw him in my mirror while trying to get the camera ready, so after I handed my dad the camera I slowed down and waved him by. And I wasn't full thottle with my car but pretty close (I don't think he was full thottle either). As far as the autobahn, I let out at 120ish he just kept going. They drive fast in the rain.

That gearbox does not sound like a manual, it must be a test car for the new trany, any comments?

Could be. But would the DCT allow the wheel spin the driver had while overtaking in the beginning?

Best regards, south

Why not? Spinning the wheels has nothing to do with the gearbox.

Maybe I've not been quite clear. To me it sounds like the wheels were spinning while the driver did a shift. If I'm not wrong that shouldn't happen with a automated transmission, the software should calculate the correct rev for the next gear. Didn't already the SMG open the clutch when drag moment occured? But it also could be a very high shift pattern, on which DSC is disengaged and also the DCT software doesn't intervene!?

Best regards, south
