How old are you that you think those are classic BMW's?
My answer would be either a 3.0CSL or the original 328.

Was the turbocharged E28 (533i?) an official US model, I thought it was a limited release euro model?

I consider a car to be a classic if it has a cult following, and is generally 15 years old or older.
All of the cars that I mentioned, meet both standards. Granted, I'm rather young, but I'm sure that I'll keep the standards for quite a while. I purposely left of the E9 because it's extremely difficult to find a well kept example for less than $35k, and the 2002 is out because I'm a wiener, and need AC. As for the 535is, check out www.turbochargingdynamics.com |
