I was surprisingly pleased with the response of the AT. I originally wanted a stick but soon realized the bit more fun of having a MT isn't worth the hassle of shifting in cali traffic everyday lol

To be honest I haven't really looked into the MT vs AT comparison. All I know is im only 2 mods away from being mod complete (bigger intercooler & jb4 upgrade) and there is no tranny slip, hesitation, rough shifting, etc. The auto tranny for the 335i was engineered fantastic. Shifting points, smooth downshifts, nearly no shuft shock when in normal drive mode, and sport/true manual mode are great.
Not to mention no shift lag with an AT After driving stick consistently for 10+ years, for me it was time for a change. And like I mentioned before, this tranny is the next best thing to a true manual transmission. |
