silver window trim polishing

black 335i coupe.. the silver exterior window trim.. what's the best product to use for polishing it? just seems like there is something that looks uneven about the finish of them that polishing might even out.

i'm just thinking- would that trim be clear coated aluminum?

thanks for advice..

all bmws have this problem....its the part itself ...its cheap. if you polish oxidation will be back very shortly after...just wrap the trim and save yourself a headache. or plastidip

Yes, I've read that's exactly what it is, so polishing + sealing the clear should give good results.

I've removed mine and am having it painted along with my wheels (to match) in the next few weeks.
