hid kit questions?????

ok so i bought my oem xenon headlights. waiting for them too arrive, im gonna go with lux angel eyes. not the leds, but the ones for the pre-lci cause i have an 08 328i. im gonna need hids and bulbs soon and also wiring and such to make everything work. what hid should i get??? should i go oem ballasts and get 6000K bulbs or what??? im confused with getting an hid kit and the compatability of the bulb with the xenon headlight. i hear ds1 bulbs, are the way to go, but if i buy an hid kit, does it come with those bulbs or what?? any help is appreciated. thank you fellas.

Hmm I'm confused.

You have OEM xenons? But you want an HID kit?

Xenons use projectors. So you just bought the housings?

Did you buy adaptive or non-adaptive housings? Adaptive housings will need SMC II modules installed, programmed, then coded.

Buy the OEM ballast. You can get used ones off eBay for $150 ish each. I have one for a pre-LCI E90 I'll sell for $80 shipped. It has a dent in it but works fine.

Search the lighting and vendor section for bulbs. I believe the oem bulbs are Philips. But Jeff should chime in with the bulbs. Not sure which ones works and which ones don't. Some cause problems with the oem ballasts.
