New Brake Rotors

Hey guys.

I've been looking at getBMWparts.com for some rotors for my 335i
Shows for $138.22 for the fronts.

Does this price seem decent?
What is the next best rotor?
I've been hearing about Zimmerman Rotors? Any reviews?

Can't go wrong w/oem brake parts. Tischer has good prices too. Cheaper aftermarket rotors include zimmermann, centric, stoptech, etc. I wouldn't bother w/slotted or drilled. Search rotors in this forum

Another vote here for the full OEM setup. I just did all four wheels from Tischer. I would also recommend upgrading to the Z4 rotors at the same time. It is only a +$60 upgrade for the fronts.

EBC Ultimax rotors (dash slotted), way better than OEM for about the same cost.

Silent, super quality, awesome stopping performance. I'm using them with Cool Carbon pads. Better than I expected, I did a bunch of research.

Can you please provide some more info and review the ebc brakes you have. I need to change all my rotors and pads. Just want to know a little more and if you are having problems with them. thanks

Zero problems. Went on easy, hardest part was cleaning the carrier and caliper -- OEM pads dust so much. Rotors are excellent quality, and fit on the hubs perfectly (cleaning the hubs well first, sandpaper and file), I used BMW hi-temp grease per BMW's install procedure, and the Cool Carbons have a nice anti-squeal plates attached. Couldn't be happier. And changed the brake fluid to ATE SuperGold 200 from Pentosin DOT 4 LV (which didn't hold up well), Turner Motorsport used the ATE on my E46, and I was happy with how well the pedal held up on it.

I had a bit of a steering vibration on freeways depending on the surface previously (with OEM rotors), and more so with the M3 front strut brace installed, that's gone now.

Purchase the Z4 35is rotors! They are two piece and are direct swap for the 335i

The 335i rotors are 1 piece. The Z4is rotors are 2-piece and I believe about 3 lbs lighter. Dimensionally, they are the same! So they make a good cheap upgrade for us.
