Parrot fitted today - Now with pictures
I had a Parrot 3100 fitted today and my initial impressions are quite good. I had the lcd fitted in the ashtray as I don't smoke and didn't want it stuck on the dash.
I'll post some pictures over the weekend along with a more in depth review once I've used it a bit more. Miopyk Last edited by miopyk; 06-02-2007 at 06:32 AM.. |

Right I've had a bit of a play and it's not too bad. While I've been out this morning I've made and received several call and it works fine. I had optional link fitted so you can use the steering wheel controls as well which again works fine.
The conveniance factor is that you never need to take the phone out of your pocket. You get in turn on the ignition and it connects. Of corse the downside is it doesn't charge the phone battery but then I've got a cable for this and can stick it in the arm rest to charge. As I said the screen is hidden in the front ashtray so I can hide it away from prying eyes. Here are the pictures: Now you see it Now you don't Miopyk |

It looks great! I had it in my Audi A3 and I had it placed under the A/C/ controls. The functionality as well as the soun quality is exceptional with any parrot I've used (I currently have the ck3000 evolution in my wifes mini cooper convertible). However, we need to find some way to mount the lcd screen of the 3100 somewhere that makes it functional as well as non-obstructive. Furthermore, I love the way the dashboard looks clean now, I cannot imagine a place where the lcd screen can be placed that I would like. I think I will go for the ck3000 (as my wife) to hide it completely and rather use the voice recognition function of the system. Any ideas?

Funny enough my wife has a MINI Cooper as well and she has been thinking about getting a kit fitted. Where have you got your's fitted (any pictures would be nice too) and if you've got them, is it hooked up to the steering wheel controls? Miopyk |

So...I can'e really post any pics as you cannnot see anything apart from the mic. We placed it (after many attempts to find the best compromise between stealth and sound quality) between the dials (chrono package) on top of the steering wheel. |
