I ordered my 335i today and put down my deposit, but after I left and my dealer tried to customize my allocation, I was told they could not order my car as spec'd.

Here's the car as I had spec'd it:

2012 335i Sedan
Sport Line
Black Sapphire Metallic
6-speed Manual Transmission
Adaptive M Suspension
Black Leatherette/Red Trim
Brushed Aluminum Trim
Highlight trim finishers Black high-gloss
Heated Front Seats
Heated Steering Wheel

My dealer is now telling me that their ordering system will not let them specify the Brushed Aluminum Trim and Highlight trim finishers Black high-gloss. The only thing they can specify is is the High-Gloss Black trim and Highlight trim finishers Coral Red matte.

They've even acknowledged that this goes against the ordering guide, but that the system will simply not let them do it.

Any thoughts? The dealer thinks we only have a couple days before my allocation becomes locked and goes into production.

Interesting, i had a similar problem, i had to order fold down rear seats to get leather.

Just looked at my ordering sheet. mine says
4AD Brushed Aluminum Trim
4DL Highlight tirm finishers high gloss

Id consider trying another dealer. You can always get your deposit back.

Seems with the leatherette you don't have the option to get the brushed aluminum/black finishers. I added the premium package and we're good to go. I went ahead and created a new 'Ordered my' thread with the updated spec's...
