Why not contact a local driving school? If you're willing to pay, you might as well mash up the gears on their car rather than some member of this forum that's doing you a favor.

Using your brand new car right? it is very easy to learn. Find an empty parking lot on Sunday and just drive around the lot and feel the clutch.

Also, ask your CA for a lesson when taking delivery. ask him if he can sit in the passenger seat and talk you thru the motion of shifting as you drive off the lot.

you kidding me right? well, he should take your advice and find a local school. Not gonna happen in my bmw.

Hey houston06, read this post #24 by Revlis, that is basically how I learned to drive manual. Read that and remember the step before you go out and drive a manual car.

I think that I can volunteer for this without too much fear. If I'm there with him, I'm not gonna let him tear up my clutch if I can help it.

Houston06 - PM me and we can set up something. This should not be a big deal - everybody has to learn the first time.

Glad someone stepped up to the plate to help you out.

Was it fun, once you got the hang of it?
