Projector Lens misaligned

Hi all, I was just looking at my headlights earlier today and noticed something very strange, the projector lens both on my driver side and passenger side are a bit misalgined they are not properly seated in the headlight socket....please see attached pictures...does anyone know what this is? It's kinda scaring me...the lights and everything still work...

I've added a red circle indicating the gap that i'm seeing..if anyone knows please let me know what to do...thank you!

you change the angle by the 2 adjustment screws. if the beam pattern is fine leave it alone.

That's not fine, take it to a dealer, they'll replace the headlights.

they're usually a white or black plastic piece (round with a gear pattern on the edge sometimes) they are on the top of the headlights .. sometimes must look for an access hole through the fender or radiator support. you will see the beam move as you turn the screw.
