Cool Porsche 991 Turbo To Use Tri Setup

bmw first started the tri turbo thing with the m550d & x6 50d models along with the future f3x m3. now porsche has taken route and also implemented it on their flagship model.

is tri turbo the future? shit looks more complex and i can't imagine the repair bill if something were to go wrong .

on a good note, 997.2 variants will drop in price so ill be keeping an eye out for my turbo then .

yeah, not a fan of this tri-turbo nonsense, why not just sequential?!

if anyone can pull it off and make it reliable it is Porsche, but why the extra complication and weight?

Why not just dual-charged? Two big turbos for top-end and a supercharger for linearity.

I like the idea of trying new things but I honestly have no clue how a tri-turbo setup will work!! Is there a schematic or anything out there?

Its basically 2 turbos and 1 electric turbo(which is really a supercharger since it doesnt have a turbine). [This is about the BMW tri-turbo]

Twin turbo'd cars are already pretty linear.

Looks sweet. I think the best thing about the new 911 is the roofline. It makes the car look more sleek. Side profile looks amazing.
