So I\'ve put Endras BMW up to the challenge
Hey guys,
I\'ve been noticing some squeaky suspension going off of small bumps and entrances so I decided to call the dealer who\'s always taken care of the car. Btw, it\'s a 2008 335i vert. W/ sport, navi and other goodies that I purchased two months ago. So to get to the point...I\'ve put them up to the Customer service challenge and we\'ll see how it goes. What I wanted to confirm is that I hear from other forum members that brakes are covered under warranty. Per the tech, this isn\'t the case. Is this an Ontario, Canada thing or U.S. thing as well? Canadian please chime in with knowledge and experience at that Ajax dealership. Thanks! |

Well I figured as much with the brakes. Now what if, there is excessive wear? That should be considered a defect IMO and covered by warranty no?
Ie. in 2 months my indicator has go e from having 35k wear left on rear brakes to just under 23k. That seems highly excessive an abnormal. I don't drive aggressive by any means... |

American BMW customers are covered by a warranty AND maintenance plan, Canadians only by the warranty. Wear items are not warranty items. FWIW, I had Endras replace the rear brakes at 70,000km. The cost with their service package was pretty darn close to what I could pay if I bought OEM parts and installed them myself (and I had done that several times with my E34 540i prior to selling it when it hit 300,000km). I don't know what it is, but BMW's seem to go through rear brakes -- I confirmed (since I was paying for it) that the rears were truly done, and they were. I'm actually dropping in to Endras tomorrow for an oil/DEF servicing, and expect nothing other than the stellar service I get there whenever I go. Other than the clarification on Canadian brake servicing, is there anything specific you are looking for? Cheers D.
