I'm located in Dallas. I'm providing the new spark plugs. The guy quoted me 125 bucks to switch them out. Does that sound fair?

Yes, before anyone else mentions, I can switch them out myself with the correct socket wrench, but I prefer having a professional install them. Thanks for any feedback!

Shop labor starts out at about $75 an hour and goes up quick depending what shop your at. So doesn't sound far off.

You might want them to look at replacing Oxygen sensors at the same time. (I have a weird theory that always assumes that fifteen minutes of any time they quote you is just pouring themselves a cup of coffee and opening the hood. Thus with my warped logic having them doing just a bit more is cheaper than if you came back another day)

plugs cost about 40 online for 6 of them if I remember correct so sounds about right. but honestly, it took me about an hour doing it the first time and its easier than it looks if you got all the right tools

Not for a 335i. The spark plugs are three-pronged and are a bit more expensive.

What does the cost of spark plugs have to do with the cost of labor.

Figure about an hour to do the plugs. Then find out what their hourly rate is.

That said, what is the book rate for plugds?

125 bucks sounds real high. I'd pay 125 though if they came to my house and did it there and sang informer by snow the whole time without messing up the lyrics. Sounds legit then.
