Saw f30 in person.

Side profile is nice. Sat inside, slightly more room. Very nice 19 inch wheels. However, the front to me does not look as good as the rest of the car. The car was with a BMW employee for testing and review. He said the F30 gets really good gas mileage and the car's steering isn't as tight as previous BMW's. Could not tell which line it was because it did not have any badges indicating the line, just the roundel on the trunk, wheels and hood covered with black film. I know it was a 328 because it had two hideous tailpipes. Overall it looks nice except the front.

I guess people get used to it, they did in the new 5. I mean that car got spanked in a 3-way the month it came out. I'm not following the F30 but don't tell me that in addition to a 4 cyl. it has eps?

Not sure whether it is electric or hydraulic actually.

Didn't take a picture because it's all over the forum. I was more interested in what the employee had to say which wasn't much. Also, I was too busy checking out the interior, and exterior of the car. What I found interesting was the car had a beige interior with beige seats. It didn't have different color stitching on the seats. However, it had the sport line 19 inch wheels.

The biggest news for me was - despite marketing claims f30 328i is actually NOT lighter than e90 328i. Go bmwusa and check the numbers.

Speaking of the design - i didn't like e90 for years. In fact, until LCI. Now I lkie it more and more (but still not pre LCI - just can't stand headlights.

F3's design made very strong initial positive impression, but after just several weeks I don't think the front end is that good. It is like it was brought from another bmw - something's wrong with proportions.

I think the front will receive a early facelift. It just doesn't look good. The interior was nicely laid out. The in dash screen wasn't as obtrusive as it may seem in photos.

It looked better in person vs the pics. The inside looked better than the pics for sure and the outside is really sharp.

Seen the pics of the front and have to say i'm not feeling it but my question is...Less or more upon seeing it live?? If I stick with BMW i believe it will not be a 3.Oh and lighter steering? Before you know it it will feel like a Lexus.

I saw one on the road a few weeks ago...didn't realize it was a big deal.

Didn't even realize it was the new 3series until I got right behind it.

I have a new 2011 535xi as a loaner and I HATE the steering compared to my 335. I can't see paying 50-60k for a car and "getting used" to it. Sucks that BMW is going that route. Don't get me wrong it's a nice car but the steering suuuucccckkksss. Not a huge fan of new dash too. Seems like BWW is prob going the route Audi went - nice luxury and nice performance, nice middle of the road auto - not decent luxury and great performance like e46, e39, etc...
