Garage List
Im in, I need some extra ponies. If Volvo offers a 163 to 225 HP upgrade why cant BMW.
I guess BMW would charge 2500€ for it though.
Any source for these rumors?

When you say "factory tuning" what do you mean by this? Is this relevant to my thread / question here:

Official Performance power kit for the F10 520d ?

This doesn't make a lot of sense: you're talking about the 3 series here. What about the 5 series F10 / F11? As it stands, this reads like you've read something about the new 3 and jumped to a conclusion about the 5 .... pleased if you can prove me wrong ....

We are talking about 520 d...the info was given during 3 series launch, when a salesrep from a dealer asked BMW rep specifically about a factorytuning kit for the 520.

I sure hope this is true. I'm waiting for my F11 520d with a possible delivery this weekend or early next week. I can see that you are also in Oslo, I would guess that adding this kit would enable a rather steep tax to the government?

Yeah the currently available kit is for manual transmission only. Last time I spoke to the dealer they didn't know if it would be one available for cars with auto. I sure hope it will be one.

yeah but you get a M badge as well!

my dealer offered this to me through email and it is a kit. They wanted 1850 euros for the upgrade. But on the bright side they tell you that there is a M badge added under the bonnet to denote the kit is installed. Not for me.

I was told the kit would be available for the AT. Supposedly we will Get it this summer. Taxes will more than likely double the retailprice herr in Norway. I was quoted 1500€ for the kit bf taxes. Ill still be first in line
