Correct cable for AUX/USB interface?
I picked up my E92 335i coupe yesterday. It has the USB iPod adaptor. However, I can not get it to work. According to the owner's manual, you are supposed to use an "iPod adaptor". Is this the same white iPod cable I would use to connect to a computer? The car came with a short USB cable, with one end slightly larger than the other. I tried plugging the white iPod cable both directly into the USB port and also into the larger end of the cable that came with the car. The iPod displays "Do Not Disconnect" but nothing else. On the iDrive screen, I can only select "AUX." It won't do anything if I try to select "USB." Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Your dealer should have provided a Y adaptor cable that plugs into aux and USB port on the car and has iPod interface on other end. See bulletins at above post. |
