I'm kind of surprised at how poorly the 335iS performed.

I'm shocked the TTRS finished as high as it did.

ZR1 slapped the GTR around a bit, 5.5mph top speed advantage is not a small one. That being said, the GTR is an amazing computer.

TTRS is damned good!

Boss 302 ftw!!!

id rock one of those american bread track machines for sure. Saw one on the road in my M3, couldnt get him to play........

Yeah I'm surprised the GTR computer didn't prevail. They need to update the software.

This. If the GT-R had those semi-slicks as well it would be just as fast if not faster.

Lol, the 335is got beat by an SUV (X5M) by over 2 seconds. Granted the X5M had nearly double the power but it is still a friggin SUV!!! Ahem I mean SAV.

All jokes aside though, the X5M is a beast. Also, if you read the entire article, the 335is's DCT transmission seems to be reason for the disappointing results.

The zr1 is a beast, but costs more than the GT-R. The GT-R is a heavy pig with less hp to weight than the ZR-1, but you're right, it gets the times it gets because of its sophisticated computer (and chassis, and AWD system). I wonder how the ZR-1 would do if it had a similarly calibrated "computer."

Really? I would think it would be due to the open diff.

Slightly disappointed they didn't include a DCT M3 in the test.

Oh, for those that say to put R-Comps on the GT-R and it would be much closer to the ZR1, you're correct, but with the curb weight of the GT-R the R-comps wouldn't last but a few laps. I know someone who owns and tracks a GT-R and he said on the track you can feel the tires just getting pounded into bits.

I said it last year and I'll say it again... These results are all over the place. I just can't put much stock in their Lightning Lap times.

If the ZR-1 had the GTR computer, and both cars raced the Nurburgring, it would be one of the best computer races of all time.

Dell and Apple both need to come out with a supercar.

Concur...if they ran all the cars with the same tire compound then it would be a better comparison.

Why would they do that? It's an off-the-shelf comparison, is it not? Start allowing modified cars and all hell breaks loose.
