Key combo on the radio to get access computer

I remember a thread about a certain key combo on the radio that when u start the car u can access the computer and look at some other options. I can't find that thread and it's driving me nutz. I guess it worked on a previous model and still works on the E90. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I know it worked because I did it once about a year ago but can't remember the combo. This is for a non-Idrive car.

You can access the same computer functions from the radio as you can from the stalk on the steering wheel, if this is what you are referring to. When your radio is on, just press the menu button.

Nope, I know those functions. I've had the car since nov'05. It's driving me crazy. They aren't normal functions. It's more like exact rpm readout, a/f ratio. it's driving me nutz! it has to do with starting your car and pushing a key combo withing the first few seconds.

nice but why would any car settings be tied into the radio.....maybe logic 7 settings or somthin????

No idea, I have to mess with it again. I haven't tryed it in over a year. I don't have logic 7 and it works. My wife took my car for the weekend so I can't try it right now.

Okay but it never said what those setting were. What are they?

Put in this sequence into the radio after you enable the options mode:

up, up, down, down, L, R, L, R, B, A, Select, Start

If you have a white or space gray car, it will turn your car into an Autobot. If you have black or monaco blue, it will turn into a Decepticon (i take no responsibility for your actions)

Select ,start is only good if you have 2 people in the car...ditch the select and just hit start.
