USB Port/Accessory Power (Cig Lighter) Question
Are these powered even when the vehicle is turned off? I bought a blackberry bluetooth audio device that's plugged in. I need to know if I have to turn it off when I leave the car so the battery isn't drained.

Going off of the little knowledge what I have on this, once you kill the engine, it'll stop feeding power to the outlet. However this does not apply to the radio where you can push the power button, have it turn on and play for about 15 minute or so and turn off on its on.
To make things easier; turn off your car and if your phone still plays music via bluetooth then your question is answered - if not then your question is still answered.

Both the console 12V and cig 12V are switched, annoying actually to me, would prefer at least one to be non switched with cell phone charging nowadays....lol
Also the radio will play with the key still in ignition and car turned off but only for like 10 minutes.... |

They are powered off unless the ignition is in the full ON state or the car is running. Note the radio can be run on accessory only power but the 12V outlets are OFF in this mode.

That's good news for me at least. After cutting accessory power I found it turned itself off.
This blackberry bluetooth device is awesome. It's so nice to just hit play on my phone and hear the music on the car stereo. Goodbye cables! |
