Having problems resetting the brake pad replacement reminder

Having problems resetting the brake pad replacement reminder on the main screen, on a 2007, 328i,6spd,conv..
I followed a step by step video on u-tube and was able to bring up the front and rear pad reminders on the small screen b/t the gauges.
Then I used the turn signal stalk controls and the button on the instrument cluster in the left lower corner. I reset the front and rear pad reminders, which turned their colors from red to orange.
Then when I restarted the car the main screen still had the reminder come up.
Has anyone got an ideas?

did you replace the sensor?

Yes the sensors were replaced. I was able to reset the pad reminders on the small screen b/t the gauges. I was wondering why that didn't eliminate the message on the main screen.

i had same issue - i did it twice and the reminder went away next time i turned on the car

I actually had the exact same problem today. I attempted to reset the front and rear brake pads replacement intervals, the miles did change to dashes and the parking brake red light came on along with car on lift red sign. Please let me know if anone experienced this and was able to fix it.
