Code thrown with rough and shaky ride =(

So I recently bought my 325i and its been great however this morning it gave me a service engine soon light and the idle was jumpy, I can feel my seat kinda shake. So I took it to autozone to get the code read and it gave me P0302 which is misfire in cylinder 2. Whats my best option? Should I replace spark plug and coil or could it be something else? does this seem right? Any help is greatly appreciated

Check condition of plugs, I'd replace them if they are originals. If misfire is persistant, then coil as well. Or do both same time and kill two birds.

i've read a lot of coil failures on E90 lately, mostly after 60k. mine did as well. Just change your coil first and see if the problem goes away. Spark plugs are meant to last 100k in E90. Of course, if the problem persists, change the plug too.

diagnose the problem this way: swap the coil with another coil for example cylinder 4, if cylinder 2 works fine and cylinder 4 misfires then its a bad coil. if cylinder 2 still misfired then its probably a bad plug or injector

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
