Especially living in the city no matter where you go or no matter how careful you try to park your car someone or something will mess up your car. No car stays perfect in mint condition unless it's for a car show or a garage queen.
Parked on a block giving myself plenty of space, only to come back to see some old dirty wagon nearly bumper to bumper to me, which i'm pretty sure he squeezed into the spot and nudge my front bumper because of the way it was positioned. Oh well, you learn these things are impossible to avoid |

I have one on each door from the parking garage I park in. They're not that noticeable unless you really look for them, I'll have them taken out eventually but it's not a huge deal with real small ones.

depends on where you drive it too and where you park it.

My 2001 740i M Sport has not a dent or a scratch on it.

I don't park on streets and have a driveway yet dings always appear, I get them fixed, I get new ones. Keeps my OCD on check. Trying to care less about those things from now on though.

The scratches and dings on my car have sparked my interest in the art of automotive paint... gonna start out on this old mazda and go from there.
So much incidents in the parking lot have lead my exterior to damages that can't be repaired without all new paint. Even when i park at the end of the parking lot (sometimes take up 2 spaces if it's not a busy area) somehow something still gets attacked. Frankly i'm surprised my car hasn't gotten keyed all together... |

5 yrs. and no dings, had pdr twice. I don't look at it as if it's ok, but that's me. 2 of our 3 cars have no dings, but the 98 Nissan is like what people say here, there have to be 20-30 dings on each side. Just imagine--each one is something that somebody else did over the last 14 years. Not one of them have been caused by me.

I far park whenever possible, but dings happen no matter what on a daily driver. I've been visiting my PDR guy every spring for the past 10 years now. He'll have a couple of minor blemishes to take care of this year on my driver's side
Most people just aren't considerate of other people's property...it's sad. |

Street parking is impossible to avoid the odd bumper ding and parking lots need to have an empty corner or eventually you get dings - PDR guys make a living on people like me that can't live with door dings!

I wouldn't buy a nice car if I lived in the city and had to street park my car everyday.
Dings, scratches etc. are unavoidable because people just don't care. My problem are rockchips from freeway driving. They really bothered me at the beginning but now I'm like oh another one, oh well. A clearbra will take care of that next time my front end gets resprayed. |

Gotta put a cap on your OCD somewhere. Not every parking spot will be perfect.
