angel eye help!!

hello everyone. new to the forum. so my car is a 2006 330xi i recently aquired last month. it has become my daily driver replacing my 2007 g35x.so lets start at chirstmas my gf decided id complained about my factory angel eyes long enough.she set up an appointment with a local bmw shop to have the lights blacked out and new mtec leds. i personally met up with the guys. all seemed very legit and knowledgeable and had very nice bimmers themselves. well this was tuesday. they claimed 2-3 days and it would be completed. well i called yesterday the secratary said" ill have XXXX call you right after lunch." i waited until today with no reply. i called XXXX's personal cell he gave me and was ignored. so i went down to get an update. my heart dropped when i saw my lights. the housiing is just about destroyed (from prying). i will say the paint job is good. however then i see my factory angel eye optic tubes.all but one was damaged 2 were glued together and one still in pieces. the glue has clouded the tubes and light will no longer pass through to light up the rings. the owner said he will do what it takes to make it right so i am working with them.

my question is can i order factor oem ring from bmw. just the clear rings and where. if not what options do i have in the aftermarket? my lights are factory xenon and have adaptive light setup also

You want to get a completely new housing. Not just the insides.

New housing would be the best bet. Sounds like the people working on your car have no idea of what they are doing. I would run for the hills.

your profile says you're from NH, which dealer did you go to? Tulley?
just because the SA/CA's drive nice bimmers means nothing, the work was probably contracted out

could've saved $$$ for other mods than to spend it on a new housing which you'll be needing now, by visiting this forum first and doing some homework

what was wrong with your AE's?

well i talked more with owner. he has a housing off a similar 330i that was in an accident. so he will swap my internals and all into that. from what i gather he is barely getting by so im searching the options.so if i can get a set of stock oem angel eye tubes or even aftermarket leds that would be better then a new headlight assembly.

no to tulley. i lost respect for them when my vw i purchased there blew a intercooler gasket at 28k. it took them 4 1/2 weeks to fix it and cost me more then a grand after my rental allowance ran out. after having it back for less then a day the same gasket let go due to improper torquing. 3 weeks later i got the car back.

i did do quite a bit of research and it seemed mtecs were the way to go. i knew black out was difficult and one of the guys even had it done on a pre lci car. he showed me and it was super clean. they were confident they could mimick the job on mine.

my plan was to go with oss but after a few weeks of waiting i figuired luis was no more.
