Lease End Question

I will be turning my car three months early, and those three payments on my old lease have been rolled into new lease payments on a new E90.

My question is since I will be under the alloted mileage for the full term of the lease, wouldn't I get a credit for those unused miles - i.e @18k miles/yr, I have 54k miles in my current lease. I will be turning in this car in early with approx. 51,500mi., so shouldn't I received credit for 2500 mi @$.20/mi?

I wish. I was under on my lease by a whopping 16,000 miles - no credit. No I didn't turn it in, I bought it out instead which was fine as there was nothing else I wanted.

16k under means that you did a smart thing. same miled car would have cost more in CPO market IF it is so low. by the way did you have to pay extra to make it extended warranty or extended maintainence?

I did have the car CPO'd and paid dealer cost for that - so I have a 1 owner car with a CPO warranty, how cool is that!

I did not extend the maintenance. At the miles I am driving it didn't make sense.

wow that sux. you signed a paper for a new bmw and you still have to make payments for the old one?
and 'No' to your question, instead they could just terminate your old lease.
I had leased 128i and I had 2 years remaining left but I traded for 335xi (financing this time) they gladly took my car as trade value.

Nope. You don't get any money back.

Surprised they are not forgiving the last 3 months.

I don't know how much research you have done with knowing what your lease rates are and what you got, so trying to renegotiate might not give you leverage.

If you can walk away they might be able to redo the deal. You got to be prepared to walk though if they call your bluff.

Or, try getting another deal from another dealership as leverage. They might not have the car you want. They might even tell you still have to eat the last 3 months of the lease, but at least you know where you are.

I turned in my 335 in July, had 36k on a 45k lease. When I bought our M3 last month, I not only got my termination fee refunded, I got $100 back because I was under mileage. Didn't expect that one.
