very thankful about how reliable my 335i has been

Well I have had my 335i for 18 months and put about 25k miles on it now at 65k miles nothing has broken or gone haywire. Other than oil changes and the mods I installed on my car and the oil sensor that I replaced cause I'm paraniod, its been a perfect car

Mods are dci, Jb4, meth 3" ar dps.

I guess I got a good one cause it seems everyone has issues with these cars

Sweet!

Everyone ends up posting when they have a problem but never when the car runs perfect!

We need more threads like this!

I have been tuned for 20k. 2 coils have gone bad. 1 stock first 10k, and second one tuned. 34k running strong. My old 335i had 3 hpfp go bad, few coils, vanos, blah blah.. So I'm happy.

That is awesome guys, it's so good to hear these stories.

I'm about to purchase my first bmw, and its most likely an 07 with no warranty. Hoping I run into some of the same luck. I had a terrible experience with my Audi A4.

Not necessarily true. You got the car at 40k, most likely the first owner ironed-out any issues that the car had. That's why a low-mileage 335i is suspect (when people find a 2007 or 08 with 15k miles--not necessarily a good thing).

Why would you want to roll the dice like that, it could get extremely expensive with no warranty. Even last weekend there seemed to be several 328 owners who had problems.

Put it this way, I put an extended warranty on my '07 when it was 3 mos. shy of warranty expiration--nothing has happened, never used it once. That's not luck, I'm the original owner and I know the complete history of the vehicle. But I still have 2 years left on the 7/100, and somehow I doubt that the warranty won't cover something eventually. same with the OP--good chance something will eventually come up.

Just give it some more time...lol

But then again, that's with any car. I still like to think it's normal to have this many plagues with one car...

But who cares...I love the car so much that I still haven't gotten rid of it.....glad to see you're loving your's...

Bad idea; unless you have plenty of $$$ in the bank, you could face financial ruin if you have to make even minor repairs.

good to hear, sort of makes me regret getting a 328i instead! But then again I could've been one of the unlucky ones
