European Delivery

Need some help with the captioned:

How was your ED experience?
Which Travel "Option" did you choose? I think there are around 6 and than one where you can customize your own trip.
How many days would you say are adequate for the trip?
How much $$$ did you end up spending in total including Airfare?

Lastly, but most importantly, was it worth it?

Thanks for your help.

The travel "options" are only suggestions...

once taken delivery of your car, you can choose and tell them wherever you want to go... you drive where you want... pick a few places/city in Europe that you would like to travel or tour or visit... and bang, you would have your own itinerary ... it's like planning your own trip... it all depends on your availability.

If you are free a whole months and want to drive your car there for the entire time, you can... of if you just want to go and pick it up and go back to NY, you also can... no one is forcing you to do anything.

Hotels and Food and gas, it's all based on your own needs and desires... those things are not included in the pack, it's extra for you.

It will be my first experience by the way

If you are not traveling with children and a bit adventurous you can pretty much plan to drive where the wind takes you and hit up a local b&b. Otherwise get a travel guide (rick Steve Europe)and plan your trip and make reservations along the way. This is what I did. Browse the other forum for the Ed section and check out the Ed wiki. This is a must as it has a wealth of info.

Ed is the only way to buy a new BMW that is not made in nc IMO and totally worth it. The only way to legally drive at 155 mph! Btw the total cost was $5k in 08 which included 3 airfares.

No cost, transportation is included.

But, allow 5-7 weeks.

You might want to review the official material:

1. Awesome, fantastic, incredible!
2. None, made our own itinerary. I can't see any reason to use one of BMW's itineraries, unless you absolutely can't make your own reservations for some reason.
3. Depends on what you want to see and where you want to go. I wouldn't go to Europe without spending at least one week there, two weeks is better, three weeks even better, one month would be great. We went for 15 days. BMW/Alliance insurance covers 14 days and you can pay more for up to 5 months.
4. We used Visa credit card miles through a program with our credit union for the airfare, no cost. We have a ton of Marriott Reward Points and some Hilton Honors Points, so we stayed only four nights at non-chain hotels, stayed one night at a Hilton and the rest at Marriotts. Our total cost including gas for almost 1800 miles, meals, tours, souvenirs, and a few hundred dollars of Xmas gifts was around $3,500.
5. Absolutely, planning our next one for Spring 2014! Dollar wise we saved $8,000 compared to US MSRP.
