WOW! Im not sure what the right way to go about it is. Did the guy who sold it to you go to jail? I would think sueing is the best course of action and lucky if you get your money back. Did you CARFAX prior?

These are matters you should probably discuss with an attorney...

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the car?

so you paid cash to the title of a car that had a different name than the person you gave cash to?

That should have tipped you off right there. If a deal looks too good to be true, it ALWAYS is.

Good luck OP, hopefully you can get this problem solved quickly.

ok i was just trying to make sure i got ur story straight. id definitely ask a lawyer for correct legal advice, but i dont think you can get your money back (hopefully i am wrong about that though.) did the police at least take the seller's information to try and catch him for theft/fraud?

Call a lawyer first thing in the morning. He or she will be able to guide you in the right direction

Woah that sucks big time. So you just handed over the money and the guy gave you the pink slip? Did you check his Driver's license? Do you even have his correct name? Go back to the back and request the video tape showing the person who you handed the money to. Have a copy of the bank transfer.

WHat did you do?
