broken adjustable seat bolsters? how to fix?

06 325i - Sport seats + Premium Package (power seats w/ adjustable seat back width).

Passenger side seat back width doesn't work anymore. I can hear the motor whirring when I press the button in one direction, but nothing moves on the seat back. When I press the button the other direction I don't hear anything.

Hmmm...first I heard of this on an E90.

It was a classic, "oh, great...not the seat again?" on E32s and E34s.

If the fix is anything similar to the E32/34's, then do a quick search for "E32 seat twist" (or click here) and you'll see the root of the problem.

p.s. I would have hoped they'd have changed the actuation mechanism, though.
