codes

I had a SES bank1 and bank 2 codes after having clogged injectors replacedsomethign about the threshhold. cant remember the exact wording or codes, but i grabben an obdII reader from auto zone and cleared teh SES light am i correct to say the light is gone but codes are still stored in the DME?

I have an appt thursday to have it looked at but have dont want to waste the time if i erased the codes and the light hasnot came back on. do i need to push the car a lillt eto get the light/ back before my appt or are they still sored in the DME?
