To all California Dust user
I bought my California Dust at Pep-Boy store. I'm not sure I got the original or an imitation Cali. duster. When I use it on the roof next to the sunroof, it release alot if fibers  . You can see it in the picture. I wish they make the California Duster in black. I use some masking tape to remove the fibers. Is your California Duster shed their fiber at the sunroof? I want to know if this is normal before I go return it.
Thanks! |

Thanks E90fleet, I'll keep the duster then. As I look closer to the sunroof when I remove the fibers, I notice should that edge on the sunroof made out of rubber like the rest of the window, instead it some kind of fabric, that is not a good material for water proofing. Would the sunroof leak? |

That sunroof edge seems to pick up everything. When I waxed my car, I noticed the "felt" lining around the sunroof had picked up some of the blue fibers from my towels. I'll have to be very careful when using the car duster. Though it hasn't been a issue lately with all this rain in the northeast.

I had the same problem with microfiber towels. Now before I go out I take my black sweater and run it across the sun roof and BAM! Lint free....Doesn't BMW think of everything? he... he
