Question Nurburgring Lap Times

Anyone seen any lap times for the 06/07 M Coupe on the Nurburgring? I've only seen the Z3 M Coupe and Z4 M roadster times. And EVERYONE knows the new M coupe is faster than both. DAMN I WISH I WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT THERE BEFORE I LEFT. If I only had the time...

Anyway...it should be around 8 minutes

8:22 for the Z3 M coupe, so you know the Z4 will be significantly faster around a track like the ring. 7:50 for the E46M3 CSL, so I would expect the Z4 M coupe to have a time simular to the CSL...

Yeah...I'm thinking it has to be around 8 minutes...I can't find an actual lap time anywhere! The closest thing was an article said that it should be at least 5 seconds faster than the z4 m roadster which has a 8:15...but I wouldn't be surprised if a good driver got it through even faster.

It is probable that published Nurburging lap times by manufacturers are the very best lap times they obtained using theri best test drivers under ideal conditions. So, what you see as published is probably about the best a particular car can do.

Nah...they have a bunch of lap times put up by manufacturers...that were later beaten by about 10 seconds or more with real drivers...

Z4M has 8:09 on standard tyres (CSC M3 spec), the CSL has 7:50 because of using Michelin PS Cup as a standard (or better said no cost option).

But even 8:09 is very good time. I have been on NS this weekend (for the second time with Pirelli Corsas on Z4MC) and I am quite sure I will do it under 8:00 if I can drive with flying start.

Anyway, Z4MC is freaking fast on the ring. It is a King Of The Ring in its price category. The only competion are cars like 911s GT3/RS or CSLs. And trust me, even very experienced drivers with GT3 RS are not able to be much faster than Z4M.

And Ring Taxi with Sabine and 2 or 3 passengers on board is just slowing you down NS is Z4Ms home, it works there like nothing else... Go there, youll love it...

Wow, sixspeed from Z4um Nice to see you again, we wanted to meet on The Ring at Easter if you remember I saw you there for several times, your white coupe is beautiful , but never had a chance to meet you... One time, you were even driving next to me (red M Coupe) after leaving The Ring...

It was beatiful that time, perefect weather, I was doing around 8:20 with standing start and finish... This weekend was little wet, but I loved it there anyway. Will you be there any later?

Hey - yeah I rememebr seeing two other red MCs....

I'm there again 12-16th July. Fancy coming along?

And yes, 9.03 - not the fastest, but then I do only have about 28 laps under my belt. That place is hard to learn!
