The BMW N54 twin-turbo engine is a true factory-made beast, but Akrapovic's engineers developed a special aftermarket downpipe system for it, which makes the N54 even better. These down pipes are designed for drivers who demand more power and less weight. In addition to a weight reduction and a power gain, one of the tasks of the Akrapovic team was also to make the sound of the N54 become music to ones ears.

Yep.

They also work on all N54 135i 335i cars, right and left hand drive.

Do it soon. In 2012 these will double in price.

Are those studs? Why would they use them? 3 out of 4 OEM studs broke when I tried to undone them

These downpipes are listed for a M1 and not for 335i so did you test fit them or the vendor not update the info on fitment?

Just for the record, the discussion in that thread ^^ is not about the downpipes at all but a more or less hysterical discussion about an alleged 40kw increase due to an Akrapovic exhaust only (i.e. without DPs), which is a rather ridiculous statement.

Interestingly though the Aka DPs seem to have flex elements, which until now I only knew of the stock DPs and Supersprint ones.
