They should have put the antenna into one/both side mirrors so you wouldn't see it at all. (Don't change the shape just put the electronics in there.)

I only dig it on the roof, not on the trunk like the E93... How does the shark fin affect the aerodynamics of the car? I care about that more hehe.

It looks okay in the picture, but I saw it in real life, it's very ugly, looks very weird on the trunk

It looks really cool on the roof and actually adds to the sexiness of the car. On the trunk it's .

First of all, there is no electronics in a little bump. Second, it is not your FM antenna, it is a satellite antenna and that signal is way more sensitive to some things (multipath, obstacles...), so putting it behind another obstacle (mirror or car itself depending on angle) would not be the best idea... That is why you have your FM antenna int he glass or somewhere else, and your satellite sticking on the top (on all cars pretty much)... |

I've seen it in person (same color as the photo). It doesn't bother me... but then I'm just a shark fin kinda guy. I think it's cute.
Plus, if you're sitting on your trunk lid at a tailgate party, you can position your butt cheeks on either side of the stubby little fin and it will keep you from sliding off. You do get a wedgie though...

I did the sat delete but plan on using my XM mini antenna in the front window. I use a Escort X50 radar detector and plan on putting the antenna on top of the radar detector and running the wire inside the radar detectors coiled cord. I'm hooked on XM, I wish BMW offered it instead of Sirius. I forgot to mention I ordered a E93 and obviously my current antenna in the back window of my M3 won't work in the back of the E93.
