Door Actuator (locks) - recurring problem?

I know there are a few posts about door locks not working and door actuators being replaced, but I was having trouble finding anything saying if this was a recurring problem (like the HPFP) or if I should expect the new door lock actuators to last a while.

Oh yeah, the stealership just replaced both front door lock actuators under warranty.

So, if you have had your door actuators replaced, did the problem come back? if so, how long and how often?

Thanks

old actuators are discontinued, the new actuators are a different design. hopefully designed to last longer.

My car is a 2008 (Dec 07 build) and I just had to replace both front door actuators - under warratny thankfully.

My driver-side door lock stopped responding to the key fob and the button inside the car. The door would not lock or unlock except by using the key inside the fob. Figuring it was the actuator, I decided to put it off for a while. A few weeks later, the darn thing works now. Go figure
