Heated seats question...

So, sometimes I turn my heated seats on and when I turn my car off, then on again.... It is in the same position as I had left it. Sometimes, when I turn the car off and on again.. I have to turn the heated seats back on.
Have any of you experienced the same?

Also, why is my AC always on when I hit Auto? My CA told me it is okay for the AC to ALWAYS be on.

Accessory times out after 10 minutes or if you open the door. Based on your description though, under 10 minutes, no opening a door, seems odd. Accessories normally reset during engine crank, though I am not sure about that in this car.

Never tried it though either.

According to the manual, "If you continue driving within approx. the next 15 minutes, the seat heating is automatically activated at the previous set temperature".

If the car is off for >= (10 or 15) minutes, they will be off when you return.
If the car is off for < (10 or 15) minutes, they will be in their previous position.

I noticed my A/C is also turned on automatically when I hit the Auto button, despite how cold it is outside.

The ac system comes on because of the humidity in the air to help defrost the car windows........... or something like that, read your manual for a better explanation.

The a/c is also on in the winter to keep the compressor from siezing up during winter months.

That is by design in case you need dehumidifying. If not, simply turn the compressor off (by pressing the "snowflake" button) and save some gasoline.

Also, if you turn the car off with "AUTO" selected but the A/C turned off, it will revert to AUTO with no A/C when restarted.

And it's not necessary to always run the compressor in the winter as 5 minutes per month or so will easily keep the seals lubricated.
