How do you prep your car for the snow?
For those of you driving your e9x in heavy snow (like MI), how do you take care of it? I plan to wash mine with warm water weekly to wash away the salt under the car... I don't know if there are any products that work well to protect the vehicle from the salt damage or future rust.. I also garage of course.
Anything else? Thanks!

I actually prep the car before winter. Wash, Dry, Clay Bar, Polish and Sealant. I then wash it weekly but take it to a local no touch car wash because it gets under the car. I also make sure to line the carpet in the interior of the car with plastic then my rubber mats on top of that. Thing that gets me the most nervous is salt stains on the carpet.

rug doctor gets the salt stains right out. I'll be doing this next weekend:
Wash claybar Rinse polish with m205 on a white pad to remove swirls apply chemical guys glaze on blue pad polish with blackfire wet diamond to seal everything in with black pad. Then I go over the car with touch up paint in case there are any chips This is pretty much my usual spring, mid summer, and end of summer regiment. There's nothing else you can really do, but a good sealant helps. I think it's important to make sure there aren't any chips on the car that might expose metal, and if there are to fill them with touch up paint before the salt gets to it. Then take it to a touchless carwash to rinse off the salt during the winter, but never ever towel dry because touchless doesn't get all the grit off the car.

Good tips, I want to keep my 335 as a daily driver for at least 3 years, and I HATE getting it on the lift and seeing rust.

Cars don't rust out like they used to. Take it from someone who started driving over 30 yrs ago. The double-dipped galvanized panels, blah-blah-blah really work well. Detail your car now before the road is salted with every storm and wash it a few times over the winter. Then detail again after the thaw when the roads are free of salt in the spring and you're fine. Washing every week keeps it looking good but I think it's overkill if you're only concern is rust.
