Full Rubber vs. carpeted heal all weather mats

Looking to get some all weather mats before winter. What do you guys suggest. I'm guessing carpeted heal mats gave better feel.... LMK what you have experienced.

Lot of red clay here when its wet...got the full rubber ones. They hook down so they don't slide around, never noticed the "feel" one way or another.

I have the carpeted heal mats. Bought them instead of all rubber for two reasons...

1. The carpeted heal serves a purpose and works
2. I like the look of them overal much more than the all rubber mats. They seem more fitting in a sports car's interior.

How do the carpeted heals handle road salt?

I have the carpeted floormats--came with the car from the dealership. As of now, they've made it straight through 4 years and 3 winters here on Long Island. Lots of sand and road salt, you bet.

They're doing good. They've kept the slushy mess off of my carpets, and, when the drivers-side mat is finally done....I'll just go and get another one.

....actually, I don't know?
But whatever they are, they've done a good enough job against the winters here.

Honestly, I kind of consider floormats a disposable item. Sort of like windshield wiper inserts or the battery.

The carpeted floor mats were sick? How long does it take them to heal?

Should I feel like a heel for pointing out that most people here obviously failed third grade English?

I've always disliked English teachers, especially because people in the U.S. don't speak English. We speak American.

I like the carpeted heel ones. The design and pattern on the rubber looks more elegant.

And the above comment is part of why the rest of the world considers us to be idiots.

I like the all-rubber mats, personally, though my BMW ones are also wearing through in the heel area. I don't like carpet in the winter. I'd rather just rinse or wipe off rubber mats at the end of the season than clean the salt out of carpet.

"American English", actually, but to call them *American* English teachers when the population speaks, and the schools only teach that form of the language would be a little excessive, no?

Threadjacking in progress.

He's just being embarrassed that Americans come across as such uneducated louts. Not knowing the difference between "heal" -- to make healthy, and "heel" -- bottom part of something.
