will a e46 rear view mirror fit a e90?

My e90 did not come with the auto dimming rear view mirror so if i got one from a e46 would it work? The mirror i'm looking at comes from a 2006 325ci.

post a pic of how it mounts to the windshield. I know later model 5 series mirrors fit, so it's possible mirrors from other models also fit.
