335is drivers and sport mode

got it 2 weeks ago and love it.one question, though, if you shift manually, using the paddle shifters, does it make any sense to put it in sport mode, or should I just leave it in automatic with the sport mode engaged.
Love the car, the engine and transmission are amazing. Oh, and did I mention the exhaust note.
Thanks for any advice.

The sports button shifts faster (not rpm, but the time it takes to jump from 1st to 2nd for example) regardless of D, S, or M modes.

S mode holds the gears up to the higher rpms.

Put it into Sport mode when using S, or M Modes. Its a much more better performing experience. Without Sport mode it leave a sense of delay and dullness

I drive in M Sport mode everyday

I wish it was possible to enable sport mode by default.

If you use "D" and then use the paddles, it'll switch to "M" mode for a period of time. If you stop playing with the paddles, it'll switch back to "D" and shift on it's own again.

Basically, it's good for forcing a downshift into a corner, and then it'll take over and upshift aftterwards.

Personally, I just use DS with the paddles exclusively. Like posted above, too bad you couldn't get it to default to DS.
