Where to Purchase Starter?
My starter is pretty much going out and so am looking to purchase a new one.
Just wondering where people have been getting good deals on their starter. thanks in advance

But what makes you think your start is going? Have you checked the rest of the charging system? Including the battery itself? The starter is a PITA to replace. You have to remove everything above the intake manifold including the manifold itself just to get to the starter. |

battery checks out fine... indicator is black.... everything works in the car...
anyways went to go start the car the other day, heard a winding noise and the engine wasn't even cranking which brought to my conclusion that the starter isn't engaging with the engine at all. eventually the starter engages and starts the car right up after a few tries though. happens mainly when the car is sitting for a few hours without starting, if am constantly starting the car troughtout the day... ie running errands... no problem car starts right up, but after prolong time, especially over night, car takes a while to start.

I would charge the battery up and see if the cold start in the morning improves. Might also want to check the + battery connection behind the fuse panel. |
